Recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Rapid Reel portable garden hose carts and wagons. This product is made in China and imported by Eley Corp. dba Rapid Reel of Lincoln, Nebraska. The circumstances leading to this recall involve reports of the tires on the Rapid Reel carts and wagons exploding while being inflated. These explosions result in flying pieces of plastic, which can lead to serious injuries. Consumers are urged not to inflate the tires on these products. If you or someone you know has been injured by an exploding tire on a Rapid Reel portable garden hose cart or wagon, contact the Sheller P.C., at 215-790-7300. We have a history of success in product liability litigation and have obtained compensation for our clients in cases involving products similar to the exploding Rapid Reel tires.
