Cribs and baby floats are being recalled due to their risk of danger to young children. The recalls for Simplicity Cribs and Aqua-Leisure inflatable baby floats were issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. According to experts, ten babies have died due to defective hardware on Simplicity cribs. The chairwoman of the CPSC is warning people not to use any recalled Simplicity crib. The company that sold Simplicity cribs isn't doing daily business anymore. In addition to the crib recall, four million Aqua-Leisure baby floats were recalled due to their risk of tearing. According to experts, there have been thirty reports of the floats tearing and causing children to fall into the water. People should immediately stop using recalled floats. The recalled floats have been sold for the past seven years at a number of stores, including Wal-Mart, Target, K Mart, Toys 'R Us, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Recalled floats have dates between August 2002 and July 2008 on their valves. Floats with the letters NP on the valve are not part of the recall. Also, floats with a hard plastic seat or no leg holes are not included in the recall.
